Aims & Objectives of attending the course:

To increase knowledge of the effects of fatigue, drugs, alcohol and other external factors on a driver’s ability to work effectively and within the law.

Course content:

  • The law - legal responsibilities
  • Causes of accidents involving LGVs
  • Eye sight
  • Driving distractions
  • Effects of alcohol
  • Smoking
  • Drugs and driving
  • Fatigue/stress
  • Physical well-being

Entry Requirements:  Candidates must hold any of these licences:  C1, C1E, C, CE, D1, D

Duration:  1/2 Day (3.5hours)

Note:  This course combined with another 3.5hour module will count as 7hours towards the required 35hours needed to be under taken every five years.
